Through the years and due to demand, Asia Connections Limited (ACL) has expanded to include factory consulting to companies wishing to establish their own facility in China. To date we have provided complete turnkey solutions with registered foreign investment capital that range from US$3 to US$10 million. This allows us the opportunity to complete the Business License Process in the shortest possible time, with the fewest headaches. We like to brag that our last factory project went from lease signing to first production in less than 5 months. This was a complete turnkey project that included; lease negotiation, business and commercial licenses, building fit-up, equipment purchase and installation, staffing, and logistics. Our top Executives have over 144 years of total experience, 104 yrs in Operations, 40 years in Finance, with over 93 years experience working in the Far East and China. Business License Process Typically a business license in China can take six months or longer to complete, depending on the complexity of the business. All of the ACL initiated factories established to date have been completed in less than 3 months. To accomplish this feat we have focused on developing a core group of support functions in numerous localities in southern China. These include relationships with Local Governmental Agencies, Financial & Banking Institutions, Law Offices, Building Contractors, and Human Resource Agencies. Fast Efficient Process Our staff has the knowledge to eliminate the stumbling blocks most companies encounter when venturing down the Business License path on their own. We provide the direction that will provide you the most efficient process from start to finish. Establishing a Factory in China Our staff of professionals will follow a step by step process to ensure your project is on the fast track, and your facility is up and running in the shortest possible time. A) We work with you to determine the size of the facility that is required, and provide the best possible solution that fits your needs. ACL works with various communities in Southern China, and can provide building options that include; lease, purchase, and build to suit. B) We provide solutions for local legal representation. It is highly recommended that all paperwork is reviewed in detail with, translation from Chinese to English. It is important to consider that all legal documentation will be in Chinese, so an excellent translation is a must. C) It is important to establish a Chinese Company name that will be registered as the legal entity on the Business License. ACL will provide suggestions to make this process as simple and as meaningful to your company as possible. D) ACL works with you to determine the Foreign Investment Plan and the amount of capital you intend to invest in your new factory, and will make suggestions that will improve the speed of the process. Making the right decisions at this point is an important factor. A full understanding of the various rules, regulations, and timing of the investment is critical to avoid problems and delays. E) Establishing the Business Scope and the Feasibility study are key component in obtaining a successful business license. Opportunities exist for establishing what is known as an “Encouraged Industry” which will normally result in obtaining a "High Tech License" with typical benefits that may include; tax holidays, domestic sales rights in China, duty free importation of high tech equipment, recapitalization of taxes, etc F) Business License Preparation - ACL will complete all the necessary documentation for the Business License application, and will follow the process step by step to expedite the process within the government agencies. G) Once the Business License is approved ACL will complete and submit all other remaining registrations including; foreign exchange, taxation, customs, etc. H) Corporate Banking - ACL will provide the necessary support to establish full service banking arrangements and can provide any Financial Consultation you may require. PHASE 1 DEVELOPMENT the following pictures illustrate the development of the third Asia Connections LLC factory in Xiamen, China, on a Torch Industrial Park. This is a typical development normally completed within a year and includes various sizes of industrial buildings for sale or lease, and space can also be purchased for custom build outs. In addition to the industrial biuildings, the park also includes food service, power relay stations, water, export logistics processing, security, human resource services, and waste management. The surrounding area is developed to include appartments, hotels, and other amenities for the supervisory staff. Nearby towns provide suitable labour supply to staff the factories in the Industrial Park. Government fully developed an infrastructure for transportation to enable workers to get to the factories on their own. This development includes a new tunnel to be completed the end of 2009 providing fast access to local sea and air ports. Phase 1 Development completed Q2 of 2006. PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT completed Q3 of 2007 along with the Duty Free Zone. This consists 27 industrial buildings and support services. There are still buildings available for sale or lease as part of the Phase 2 development. PHASE 3 DEVELOPMENT is under construction and slated to be complete mid-year 2008.
